OVULATION INDUCTION

Ovulation induction is a method of ovarian stimulation to promote the production of mature eggs in women who are not ovulating. It involves taking oral or injectable fertility drugs to increase the number of eggs produced each cycle to increase the chances of conception. Depending on your diagnosis, your doctor will prescribe the treatment that is best for you.

Why induce ovulation?

There are two main reasons to use ovulation induction. We may suggest this method if any of the following apply to your situation:

  • Ovulation problems that have not responded to commonly prescribed medications (such as clomiphene citrate)

  • Unexplained infertility
