Your first visit is the perfect opportunity for you and our dedicated team to get to know you. Here are some common medical tests that may be suggested to you during or after your first visit:

  • Transvaginal ultrasound to assess ovarian reserve

  • Basic hormonal assessment and blood tests

  • Vaginal culture and cytology screening test (PAP test)

  • Semen analysis

  • Sonohysterography

  • Hysterosonosalpingography

  • Hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy

  • Laparoscopy

Treatments and solutions

After analyzing the results of the examinations and assessing your state of health, we offer you treatments tailored specifically to your needs. We recommend starting with the simplest, least invasive treatments before exploring more complex options.

The most common treatments:

  • Advice and support for using gender-affirming hormones

  • Ovulation induction (hormone therapy to stimulate follicle development and ovulation)

  • Intrauterine insemination (IUI)

  • In vitro fertilization (IVF), with or without intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), or preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A)

  • Pre-implantation diagnosis

Our team is always there to guide you and to ensure that the treatments meet your needs.

Donations and surrogacy

Besides natural conception, there are many solutions that can help you realize your dream of starting or expanding your family. Here are some of them:

Donation of sperm, eggs or embryos

When natural conception is difficult or impossible, using sperm, egg or embryo donation is an excellent option for starting a family.

Surrogacy

If carrying a child, giving birth or carrying a pregnancy to term are impossible or too risky avenues for you, using a surrogate mother may be an interesting solution. This service is not offered at Procrea, but you can discuss it with our doctors and they will be able to guide you if this treatment choice is right for you.

Adoption

If conceiving a child with a biological relationship to you is not possible, you may want to consider adoption.
